Saint Joseph's College (Indiana), a Catholic college founded and sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, pledges itself to a tradition of excellence and to a liberal education that is a united endeavor of intelligence and faith.

128 Core Partners Update

The Saint Joe team continues to keep our 128 Core Partners up to date on activities at the College as best we can. We have hosted Zoom meetings for the 128 Core Partners to explain the plan and answer questions. Our goal is to continue the Zoom meetings to keep the communication flowing. We received a great response with good questions and excellent ideas from our loyal alumni during the first meetings and we would like that to continue. If you would like to participate in an upcoming Zoom meeting, please contact Beth Graf (bgraf@saintjoe.edu) for more information.

128 Core Partners continue to fulfill their pledges, and we have received new gifts and new partners. Most notably an alum donated $30,000 to upgrade technology in the Core Building classrooms and the project was completed and is ready for use.

Recently our Saint Joe team met via Zoom with the leadership of the Alumni Association. We updated them on the progress at the College and began discussion of how we can work together to keep alumni informed. Our goal is to continue work with the Alumni Association to provide updates and one day bring alumni back to campus.

We continue to form new partnerships and explore new ideas for the campus. As those plans become reality, we will share the great news. Stay tuned! More good things are coming.

If you have questions, please contact Beth Graf, bgraf@saintjoe.edu or 219-863-3839.

Medical Certification Programs to Begin

Registration is open for our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), and Certified Electrocardiogram Technician (CET) classes. There is now a greater need for medical personnel than ever before and local demand is high! Classes beginning in June will start online and transition to in-person lab experiences. Before students are sent out for their clinical experiences, we replicate real-life situations in our new labs allowing our students to practice and perfect their learning and skills.

Maybe you or someone you know has been laid off, looking for a change of career during these uncertain times or wanting to add to their skill-set. Our mission-based goal is to remove barriers for anyone who wants to improve their life through a better paying career or wants to help out in an industry that is extremely in need of workers. Please share this opportunity with your friends and family. Scholarships are available and SJC alumni are welcome to apply.

Ivy Tech Programs for the Fall

Ivy Tech Community College continues to partner with Saint Joe to bring classes to Rensselaer. Beginning in August they will have a regular schedule of classes offered on campus to count toward an associate or bachelor degree.

Saint Joe and Ivy Tech are very excited to announce a new program called Weekend College starting this fall. Weekend College is an opportunity for adults to take courses that can apply toward a certificate or degree while working full-time. Classes are scheduled in the classroom and online Friday evening and Saturday mornings for an 8-week period.

We are partnering with the SJC Alumni Association to share this news with our alumni. Many people may be looking to enhance their degree or go a new direction. This is a great opportunity to achieve this at the Saint Joe campus during the weekend. It is catered to the needs of working adults and we would love to have our alumni back on campus.

Weekend College courses can lead to a degree at Ivy Tech in the following areas: accounting, agriculture, business, education, management, economics, human resources, marketing, and others. Housing is also available on the College campus in the Residential Apartments. Financial aid is available.
