SJC Announces Partnerships with Exceptional Higher Education Institutions

University of Saint Thomas

Through a unique and groundbreaking relationship, the University of St. Thomas (UST) Houston and Saint Joseph’s College will offer online programs, beginning fall 2021, on the Saint Joseph’s campus in Rensselaer through the Saint Joseph’s Academic Center. Through the Center, students will take online classes together, be guided by tutors, and interact with business mentors who will introduce them to the world of work—including possible internships with local businesses.

The Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity will be the first of many programs offered by UST. Students will learn all the skills needed to begin or excel in a career in computer network administration. Organizations rely on cybersecurity professionals to protect their digital assets from damage or theft.

University of St. Thomas is Houston's Catholic University, committed to the religious, ethical and intellectual traditions of Catholic higher education. For more than 70 years, UST has been graduating students into successful careers in medicine, education, business, public administration and more – throughout Houston and across the globe.

Calumet College of Saint Joseph

In a spirit of mutual consent, friendship, and mission identities, Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ) and Saint Joseph’s College (SJC) are excited to offer CCSJ programs on the SJC Rensselaer campus beginning in fall 2021 to reinforce each other’s mission and to garner new populations of students for both institutions.

The Intro to Business course could be used as a start of an associate degree in Business.

CCSJ will also offer a Business Fast-Track degree completion program targeted for adults who have completed the associate’s degree and/or meet the admissions requirements. The Fast-Track program will be offered in a hybrid model through on-campus and remote instruction.

Ivy Tech Community College

Saint Joseph’s College is pleased to welcome Ivy Tech Community College back to campus. Before the Covid pandemic halted in-person learning, Ivy Tech was teaching multiple courses in the Core Education Center on the Saint Joseph’s College Campus. Now that students are returning to the classroom, Ivy Tech is returning to SJC.

Starting August 18th, Ivy Tech will begin a slate of 8-week courses at SJC including Intro to Interpersonal Communications, English Composition, and two-night classes: Introduction to Teaching and Quantitative Reasoning.

Ivy Tech Community College is Indiana’s only full-fledged community college, offering programs in multiple schools and offering more than 100 transfer programs with in-state and out-of-state schools. Saint Joe joins their 40+ locations.
