A Year in Review at SJC

Saint Joe Alumni and Friends!

As the year draws closer to the holiday season and New Year, we invite you to reflect with us on some of the extraordinary progress made at Saint Joseph’s College in 2022.

In December, Saint Joseph’s College launched the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant program; a nationally certified, 5-week, 100% online course! Enrollment is currently open and the first class will start January 16, 2023. Earlier this year, we also added the highly popular Certified Veterinary Assistant program. Enrollment for this program filled up in record time and continues to be one of our most sought after programs. The students in this first cohort are still learning on campus twice a week and are expected to graduate in February of 2023! We wish them all the utmost success in their learning adventure!

All of our other programs have also seen much success in 2022. Seventeen cohorts started in 2022 with an additional 12 CPR classes which has resulted in 70 graduates, 68 CPR trained professionals, and another 26 still enrolled. The students’ hard work and dedication to a promising future are noticed and celebrated. It is part of SJC’s Mission to inspire greater success and sufficiency in students. We thank our incredible instructors for facilitating such a positive learning environment by guiding the students through lectures, lively discussions, and real-world examples! We know all you have taught the students this year will take them far in their newfound occupational adventure.

Saint Joseph’s College recently added a new team member, Addy Cain. She is a Rensselaer native who recently graduated from the Herron School of Art+Design in Indianapolis, IN. After earning her BFA in Visual Communication Design, Addy worked with other marketing professionals and is now eager to be a part of the team at SJC. Through exciting visuals, purposeful education and branding work, she hopes to help with the growth of Saint Joseph’s College.

As a way of keeping our community up to date, we have looked to social media to provide learners with new information. Our Facebook page is updated weekly with class postings, exciting news and enrollment information. We’ve also begun to utilize an Instagram account - consider following us to see what we are up to!

Saint Joseph's College continues to offer rental space in our Core Education Center. Office spaces are available through our C3 Core Coworking Center, conference rooms are perfect for presentations and small business meetings, and the auditoriums make excellent places for large corporate meetings and trainings! On May 22nd, Courtney Auditorium was used by the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water to host a training course open to wastewater treatment workers and the general public to review current issues in wastewater treatment and steps that can be taken to properly address them. Our foyer has also been a wonderful space for community events such as the employer engagement job fair we hosted on October 18th! The Saint Joseph’s College Alumni Association also held their Homecoming event on campus this year in the outdoor area near the Core Education Center. It was a fun filled day honoring Gil Hodges, remembering Br. Tim Hemm, playing baseball, and eating brats!

We thank you again for sharing your time with us and reflecting on the year’s progress. We are grateful for everyone who has helped us continue to grow in 2022. We appreciate everyone who has prayed for our success, enrolled in a program, attended an event, followed our social media pages and shared our posts, supported financially, or helped spread the word of all we are doing on campus.

We hope that you’ll take a moment to celebrate the difference you have made this year and join us in ringing in the New Year with anticipation of all that we will accomplish together in 2023!

Opportunity and progress are on the horizon. Exciting things will happen. We hope that you’ll be a part of it! Consider making a donation to Saint Joseph’s College. Your contribution will help us continue to fulfill our mission, develop new programs and partnerships, and enroll more learners!
