Welcome to my first FAR (Faculty Athletic Representative)-NewsLetter. 


The purpose of these news letters is to keep the SJC community updated on GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference), GLFC (Great Lakes Football Conference) and NCAA Division II situations and how they affect Saint Joseph's College.


As FAR, I represent Saint Joseph's College at all GLVC and NCAA II meetings.

Some helpful reminders for beginning the new year:
    DO NOT let a Student Athlete use your car
    DO NOT loan a Student Athlete any money for any reason
    When in doubt, call Linda Deno, SJC Compliance Officer (ext. 6275)


For those of you who advise students, to be in compliance with the NCAA, Student Athletes must:
    * Pass 24 hours each year
    * Declare a major by their junior year and be taking classes toward that major
   
For those of you who teach, please use the Academic Warning Systems to help keep students and coaches informed of progress
