Rocky
Mount, North Carolina - 2005

SJC
Habitat volunteers Janet Hertz, Amanda Bartz, Michelle Cimaroli, Joanna
Askwith, Kristin Geske,
Rachel Jarrard, Elizabeth Gall, Nathaniel King, Maggie Broderick and
Melinda Maile, along with Faculty Advisor Fred Berger traveled to Rocky
Mount, North Carolina for our 7th Annual Thanksgiving Habitat Road Trip.
The
group cleaned out a fence row and built two backyard sheds during the
three days of work. They
also toured the Wilmington area (including the USS North Caroliana, the
Atlantic Ocean at the Ft. Fisher Recreation Area), and enjoyed meeting
and working with partner families. The group delivered goody
baskets to some of the Habitat homeowners and returned to campus on
Wednesday, November 23.

SJC
mourns the loss of Rocky Mount Habitat construction supervisor John
Gooding, pictured here on the left talking with Prof. Berger, and on
the right seated in the front row. May God welcome
him to heaven and bless his family.
