Freshmen STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), are invited to participate in the Freshman STEM Program. Funded by Saint Joseph’s College and the Brach Foundation, this program will help you develop the skills needed to succeed in Biology, Biology-Chemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics majors. Pictured in the program brochure below, our dedicated faculty team members are here to help you achieve your goals in college!
The program consists of two parts. During the Fall Semester, we will help you develop STEM-related academic skills, foster social connections among freshmen and upperclassmen, and learn about career opportunities from SJC alumni. In the Spring Semester, you can work closely with STEM faculty and fellow students in their major to conduct research. In addition, there are enthusiastic Junior and Senior students from each major that will mentor you through your first year of studies. Our main goal is to help you by developing the skills necessary to succeed in your STEM major.
Participation in the program is limited to 25 students. The program includes a one hour elective credit (free of charge) for completing the program. Please review the brochure and submit the enclosed application form if you are interested in participating by July 1st. Feel free to email the Program Director, Bob Brodman (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions!
