Student Support Services
Saint Joseph's College wants you to obtain the most
from your college experience. We understand that different students have
different needs; that’s why SJC has a number of services to support
our students.
Educational Support Services
Educational Support Services will
assist students in achieving their potential for learning. We
understand the learning needs of students vary according to individual
skills, goals, and experiences. Because of that, SJC provides programs
that reflect those differences while encouraging students to foster personal
responsibility and accountability for their learning.
Counseling Services
Counseling Services at Saint
Joseph's College works to assist students in improving their performance
in all areas of college life. Counseling sessions provide a private and
encouraging environment in which students may reflect on their experiences
and construct new understandings of their emotional, intellectual, and
social lives.
Learning Disability Support and
Accommodations
Learning disabilities services
at Saint Joseph's College aid the student in building strong relationships
between the student and the professors, and between the student and the
Director of Educational Support Services. The Director can assist in planning learning
strategies and study methods to help the student succeed in college classes.
Writing Clinic
The Saint Joseph's College Writing Clinic is a free service offered by
the College to aid students in their academic writing. Whether you’re
having a problem organizing thoughts on paper or just have a few grammatical
questions, the student tutors working in the Writing Clinic can help.
The Writing Clinic is located on the second floor of
the Rev. Charles Banet, C.PP.S. Core Education Center. For more information
about the Writing Clinic, send an email to
