2008 Science Olympiad Regional Tournament at Saint
Joseph’s College
The
2008 Regional Tournament on February 16 was fun and informative for all
involved, students, coaches, organizers, and volunteers. Thank you all for making it a great day!
The
photos below just sample the activities on campus on tournament day:

Dr. Ernest Mills, President of Saint Joseph’s
College, welcomes participants at the Opening Ceremony.

Much
of the Opening Ceremony dealt with announcements.

But
the teams were also introduced, leading to enthusiastic cheering!

Division C

Amphibians
and Reptiles, Division B

Rocks
and Minerals, Division C

Simple
Machines, Division B

Write
It, Do It, Division C

The
Closing Ceremony got started with “Magic Don” Miller to entertain the crowd and
give the organizers a chance to finish tallying the scores.

Even
the coaches were fair game for Magic Don’s antics.

Of
course, the Closing Ceremony was all about medals and trophies!
Overall,
we think the day was a smashing success!
Thanks again to all who participated.
See you next year!
