Saint Joseph's College has announced the hiring of Michael Ramian as its Director of Admissions. Ramian comes to SJC after three years as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Valparaiso University Law School.
Ramian graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and earned his Master of Business Administration from Purdue University North Central. He went on to work as a National Admissions Advisor for Colorado Technical University Online before coming back to Purdue North Central, where he served as an admissions recruiter, senior admissions counselor, and senior enrollment advisor. Ramian arrives at SJC as "a firm believer in historic, small private colleges and the benefits students receive on a family-based campus."
"There are many opportunities here to strengthen internal and external partnerships and regionally expand communication to prospective applicants in and outside Indiana," said Ramian. "Ultimately, I accepted this position because of the current staff's momentum and the challenging goals set for 2014. I am very impressed with the collaborative mindset of the campus and my staff's drive to deliver effective and efficient customer service."
Ramian resides with his wife, Jillian; daughter, Gianna; and dog, Kingston, in Valparaiso, Ind.
