Saint Joseph’s College has launched a new website featuring enhanced visuals, functionality, and content. SJC’s domain name – saintjoe.edu – remains unchanged.
The new site is the result of the College’s effort to offer prospective students a more engaging, user-friendly experience. Built entirely in responsive design, every page on the new site formats itself for tablets, phones, and all mobile devices. Less than 10% of accredited colleges and universities have sites designed to deliver content in this way. Featuring a new content management system with improved Search Engine Optimization, SJC will have increased visibility through online searches.
The Core Program – the hallmark of the Saint Joseph’s College experience – is at the core of the new website. The Core Program can be easily accessed from any page through a persistent link on the right-hand side. This new way of presenting the Program demonstrates what it is about and makes it come alive through the student’s perspective.
The College’s social media channels are more prominently featured on the new site. In this age of online storytelling, social media is embedded, integrated, and coordinated with the site. Enhanced analytics and data gathering will allow for an improved understanding of what is of interest to prospective students and other site visitors.
With visuals becoming increasingly important online content, the site allows visitors to view campus through high quality photography as imagery takes center stage to tell the SJC story. Academic programs, clubs and activities, and all aspects of student life have a more graphic representation.
"The responsive web design is an essential tool that will enhance our ability to communicate with prospective students across the globe,” said SJC Director of Admissions Michael Ramian. “I am very excited to expose the strength of our academics and campus opportunities with state-of-the-art visual appeal."
The site was built by mStoner, the leading web strategy firm in higher education, devoted exclusively to serving colleges and universities. mStoner did research on campus with stakeholders to uncover what the new website needed and brought vision to the project.
Named a "character-building college" by the Templeton Foundation, a "Best Midwestern College" by the Princeton Review, and “Best Value” and "Best Midwestern College" by US News & World Report, Saint Joseph's College is a four-year, Catholic college offering 27 majors, 4 group majors, 35 minors, and 9 pre-professional programs, complemented by the nationally acclaimed Core Program. Founded and sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, SJC is located in Rensselaer, Indiana, approximately 90 minutes from both Chicago and Indianapolis, on a park-like campus of 180 acres and has an enrollment of nearly 1,200 students.
