Requirements: * Minority students -- defined as Black or Hispanic
* Minority students who are pursuing a teaching certification
* Individuals who are pursuing a Special Education teaching or Occupational or Physical Therapy certification (not restricted to ethnic background requirement)
* Indiana residents attending an eligible Indiana college
* Students admitted or attending a college/university on a full-time basis (usually defined as 12 credit hours per term)
* Students who maintain a 2.0 GPA or the GPA requirement from their schools of Education or Occupational and Physical Therapy, if it is higher
* Students must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Requirements: * Student must be admitted or attending an approved college/university as a full-time (12 credit hours or more per term) or part-time (6-11 credit hours per term) nursing student.

* Applicants must agree to work as a nurse in an Indiana health care setting for at least two (2) years following graduation.

SADCO Scholarships - Updated December 20, 2007

Requirements: Achievement award: GPA between 3.6 and 4.0 on a 4 point scale, positive leadership ability, community service, and demonstrated responsibility.

Need award: GPA between 3.0 and 4.0 on a 4 point scale; actual need based on applicant and parents' 2007 federal tax return; and verifiable, unique, unusual, or mitigating circumstances.

Must be hispanic of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation; high school senior or a freshman or sophomore in college; accepted by an accredited college/university; pursue an associate or bachelor degree; and, complete the application process.
How to Apply:A signed letter of application stating why you should receive a scholarship must be received addressed to: SADCO Scholarship Selection Committee, c/o Hector Perez, 7036 Hampstead Lane, Indianapolis, IN 46256. The application letter, written in english, must be accompanied by at least one recommendation from an instructor or academic counselor of the applicant and an official high school or college transcript. The letter must include applicant's/parents' hispanic country of origin. Applicant may submit one additional supporting letter. ALL LETTERS MUST BE SIGNED.
