Campus Discovery Scholarship (updated 11/13/09)

Amount: $5000
Requirements: Student must be enrolled at (or recently graduated from) any 2-year or 4-year college or university in the United States.
How to Apply: The student who best responds to the following question will be awarded $5000: "Assume you could go back in time and talk to yourself as a high school senior. Knowing what you know now about college life and making the transition, what advice would you give yourself?" Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette Scholarships (updated 11/13/09)

Requirements: Scholarships are available to people who live, work, or attend school in Tippecanoe County through The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette.
The Max and Elsie Goken Endowment Fund Scholarship was created in 2006 as part of a bequest from the estate of Elsie Goken. Six scholarships of $5000 each are available in 2010. Proceeds will help fund college scholarships for those who wish to continue their education or return to school to better provide for themselves and their families. Applicants must: have graduated from an accredited Indiana high school by the end of June 2010 or have a GED; be a resident of Tippecanoe County or attending high school in Tippecanoe County; be enrolled or plan to be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university. Preference is given to those attending smaller Christian colleges or universities.
The Robert and Dorothy Hughes Community Fund Scholarship was created in 2007 by Joan Anne Hughes. Two scholarships of $1000 each are available in 2010. Proceeds from the Hughes Fund will help fund college scholarships to earn a baccalaureate degree in Nursing for those with financial need who live or work in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
The Elizabeth Mackay Fund Scholarship was created in 2009 through a bequest from Elizabeth Mackay. Proceeds from the Mackay Fund will help fund college scholarships directed at women from Tippecanoe County who are studying science. Two scholarships of $6000 each are available in 2010.
The Lilly Endowment CommunityScholarship Program was created in 1998 and provides recipients with full tuition and fees for four years of undergraduate education at any public or private accredited Indiana college or university. The scholarship also provides up to $800 per year for required books and equipment. Established by Lilly Endowment Inc., four scholarships will be awarded in Tippecanoe County in 2010.How to Apply: Additional information and application materials are available at The Community Foundation.

Requirements: Must be hispanic, Maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale); Be a current or rising undergraduate (some programs accept grad students) student or a high school senior enrolling at a college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico; and demonstrate financial need.

Kathleen Marian Garrigan Leadership Fund (updated 8/28/09)

Requirements: Must be between the ages of 17 and 24 and accepted into a domestic service program such as Ameri-Corp. Students or alumni of Oak Park River Forest High School or St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana with an uplifting attitude and a desire to serve others, one's community and one's nation.
How to Apply: Applicants are required to complete a brief application and finalists will interview with the Kathleen Marian Garrigan Scholarship selection committee. Applications are available in Student Financial Services.
Midwest Fine Arts Scholarship (updated 10/14/09)
Residency/Citizenship Requirements: Illinois, indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin
Deadline: Postmarked November 20, 2009
Amount: $50-$1200
Requirements: All Associate, Bachelor, and Masters Degree candidates with an interest in the visual arts, currently enrolled at a Midwest Regional public or private college or university. No matter what jamor, if you paint, illustrate, sculpt, design, draw, photograph, or just create art, you are eligible to enter the 3rd Annual Fine Art Finals Midwest Regional Scholarship Competition.

Minority Teacher Scholarship & Special Education Services Scholarship (updated 4/21/09)

Requirements: * Minority students -- defined as Black or Hispanic
* Minority students who are pursuing a teaching certification
* Individuals who are pursuing a Special Education teaching or Occupational or Physical Therapy certification (not restricted to ethnic background requirement)
* Indiana residents attending an eligible Indiana college
* Students admitted or attending a college/university on a full-time basis (usually defined as 12 credit hours per term)
* Students who maintain a 2.0 GPA or the GPA requirement from their schools of Education or Occupational and Physical Therapy, if it is higher

Requirements: * Student must be admitted or attending an approved college/university as a full-time (12 credit hours or more per term) or part-time (6-11 credit hours per term) nursing student.
