Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious award offered by Saint Joseph's College. This full tuition scholarship is awarded to three incoming freshmen annually. Individuals who have demonstrated outstanding academic and leadership abilities are encouraged to compete for this exceptional scholarship opportunity.
Eligibility
Students that meet two of the following three minimum academic requirements will qualify for this scholarship:
- SAT I 1100+ (Verbal and Math sections only) or ACT 24+
- Top 15% of class
- Adjusted GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale
Application Process
To be considered for a Presidential Scholarship you are required to complete the following:
- be admitted to the College as a new full-time degree-seeking student
- complete the Presidential Scholarship application
- submit a letter of recommendation from a high school faculty member who can address your academic experience
- submit a second letter of recommendation from someone who can address your leadership skills
- complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and submit by March 1st (annually) to determine eligibility for state and/or federal aid programs.
Competition Dates
If selected to compete for the Presidential Scholarship, you will be invited to the on-campus portion of this scholarship competition which will consist of an additional essay and an interview.

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, you must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
