Saint Joseph's College will host a garage sale on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm CDT on the west court of the Hanson Recreation Center. The court is best accessed from the parking lot behind Raleigh Hall. The items being sold were collected when students moved out for the summer.
Sales proceeds will benefit Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Rensselaer and SJC sustainability projects such as the Learning Garden, a small plot of land on campus used to take advantage of fresh, locally grown food. Items not sold will be donated to Jasper Junction in Rensselaer. SJC Associate Professor of Education Dr. Lana Zimmer will lead the garage sale and will be assisted by SJC Library Circulation Manager Pam Brown-Seely '98, Assistant Professor of Communication Rochelle Robertson '93, and sophomore Business Administration major Hanna Kane of Lake Village, Ind. Kane is doing an internship as the manager of the Learning Garden.
