Rochelle has taught Communication courses for almost 20 years at a number of institutions across the country. She wrote, directed, and performed in her own cast production of her original show, Pop Life in 2001, and is currently working on a book of poetry capturing spiritual reflections, as well as a family memoir.
Rochelle began teaching at Saint Joseph’s College in 2011 as Assistant Professor of Communication. Since returning to Saint Joe, an alum of the class of 1993, she has taught Speech, Interpersonal Communication, Cultural Communication, Group Communication, Health Communication, Acting, Core 1 and 2, and will teach a course in Arts and Education the spring semester of 2016. Last year she was invited to attend the premiere of a documentary film, Artifact, in Los Angeles California, where she met filmmaker and Academy Award Winning actor Jared Leto during a session where the film maker fielded questions about his work in film and music. Earlier this year Rochelle presented an academic tribute to an award-winning scholar and professor at the CSCA Communication conference in Madison, Wisconsin, and she plans to join a team of SJC administrators and faculty presenting at an assessment conference in New Orleans in February. She is delighted to continue to expand her academic horizons and share her gifts and talents with Saint Joseph’s College.
