Rev. William Stang, served in the military for twenty-five plus years, retired as Colonel, State Chaplain for Indiana Joint Forces, United States Army and Air National Guard. Overseas mobilizations to Kosovo (2001 & 2004), Bosnia (2004-5), and Iraq (2008). Deployed for service Roselawn Air Disaster victim identification and Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. Certificate and License Secondary Education, two units of CPE at Wisconsin prison for violent juvenile offenders and at Mendota Mental Health Institute, Graduated United States Army Command and General Staff College. Tenured Professor of Biology, Faculty director of SJC Gallagher Charitable Society and Priest in Residence Gallagher Hall. First Saint Joseph’s College Varsity Men’s Soccer coach and co-founder of the Saint Joseph’s College chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
His leadership experience includes: seventeen years as Science Division Coordinator, ten years as local director for the Missionaries of the Precious Blood at Saint Joseph’s College, five years as Biology Department Chair, three years as Assistant to the President, and three years as Coordinator of Saint Joseph’s College Core program. In the military his leadership positions included:US Army Task Force Chaplain - Bosnia, 38 Inf Division Chaplain and State Chaplain for Indiana Joint Forces.
