What activities or clubs are you involved in at SJC?
How did you hear about SJC?
From a family friend.
Why did you choose SJC?
I chose SJC for the small school experience. I knew a small school would provide interactions with peers and teachers that a bigger school wouldn’t.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to take a year off when I graduate to get a job and decide what I want to do before going to graduate school.
How do you feel about the Core Program?
I think the Core Program overall is great for getting straight into your major instead of taking general education classes. The Core Program has helped me with other classes by making me a stronger reader and writer within my major. When I graduate, I think that the Core Program will provide me with world knowledge of other cultures and peers. It will also help me communicate with those I come into contact with.
How are you getting real-life, hands-on experience?
I work with Event Services and have been able to gain a considerable amount of experience with communication, customer service, scheduling, and computer programs, such as Excel and Microsoft Word.
Get a jump start on your career and have your resume ready to go at graduation.
Small colleges offer you personal attention; SJC professors do more for you—they serve as mentors.
The Core Program is all about you and your role in the world.
You get more deeply involved at SJC, so you get more meaningful experiences that prepare you for career and life.
Get real-life experience and become an excellent communicator.
