Saint Joseph's College Holds First Campus-wide Beautification Day
On Thursday, June 2, the Saint Joseph's College community came together for the first Campus-wide Beautification Day. Assisting SJC's Physical Plant, more than 30 volunteers gave their time working on various projects around campus. These included painting all the fire hydrants, trimming bushes, painting the steps leading up to the Halleck Student Center, and cleaning the Lourdes Grotto - all in preparation for the Fellows Induction and Dinner held on Saturday, June 4. 70 people joined together for a cookout-style lunch in the Founder's Room, enjoying hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies, and lemonade.
"Campus Beautification Day was wonderful," said Admissions Counselor Casey Hitchcock. "Having so many volunteers meant that we could focus on the little details that add to the overall aesthetics of the College. Also, it was great having the chance to work outside with my co-workers."
