Jashon Banks Named GLFC Player of the Week

Jashon Banks (Jr., Kankakee, Ill./Kankakee) has been named Great Lakes Football Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Banks ran for 140 yards on 15 carries in Saturday's 28-16 loss to Southwest Baptist University. He averaged 9.2 yard per carry with the afternoon being highlighted by his 80-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Pumas an early 7-0 lead.
A week prior, Banks rushed for 204 yards on 12 carries in the Pumas 48-7 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan College. Banks also scored four touchdowns in the contest.
The Pumas will play for the outright GLFC Title on Saturday afternoon against Central State University. Kickoff at McPherson Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST.
