Saint Joseph's College Admissions Site Receives Highest Grade
The Admissions page on the Saint Joseph's College Web site has won the highest grade possible from the National Research Center for College and University Admissions (NRCCUA). The SJC Admissions page received an "A" grade, placing it in the top 3% of the country's admissions Web sites.
The NRCCUA, which serves as an advisory board of high school and college admissions programs, cited the page's online application process and ease of use as reasons for the award. The grade is based on the responses of high school students, who viewed all admissions Web sites.
"After putting in lots of hard work to release our new website earlier this year, we are very proud to receive this recognition," said Amy Pfaff, Assistant Director of Admissions. "We will continue to explore and implement new and quick ways of distributing information and providing services to students via our website and other electronic formats."
The site went under a complete makeover earlier in the year, spearheaded by Charles Dill, Saint Joseph's College's webmaster. Dill was the driving force behind the page's redesign and easy navigation/architecture.
Along with an online application, the site, which can be found at www.saintjoe.edu/ad, features an admissions timeline, which keeps students on schedule for applying to college; and a calculator for students and their parents to figure out how much award money the College can give them.
Saint Joseph's College, named a "character-building college" by the Templeton Foundation and a "best Midwestern college" by the Princeton Review, is a four-year, Catholic, liberal arts college offering 75 major, minor and pre-professional programs. Founded and sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, SJC is located in Rensselaer, Ind., approximately 90 minutes from both Chicago and Indianapolis, on a park-like campus of 180 acres and has an enrollment of over 1,000 students.
