Halleck Student Center

Dedicated in 1962 by former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Halleck Student Center is named after Charles A. Halleck, a Rensselaer resident who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 34 years, including a time as Speaker of the House. This multi-storied building houses the College's dining hall, the HUB (snack bar), Core XI (campus pub), College Store, ballroom, band practice room, and Commuter Student Lounge, and provides recreational lounges for all students to use. It also contains office space for student organizations, the campus switchboard, and the Offices of Campus Ministry, Career Development, Continuing Education and Summer Programs, Counseling, Dean of Students, Educational Collaborations, Educational Support, Housing and Residence Life, Multicultural Affairs, Security and Safety, and Student Activities. This building has wired and wireless access to the local computer network.
