H1N1 Flu Announcement: October 21, 2009
A Message to the Saint Joseph's College Community
There have been several confirmed cases of H1N1 on the SJC campus. As a reminder, please see the Nurse at the Johnson Health & Wellness Center if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Saint Joseph's College will have the H1N1 Vaccination available to students and staff identified in the CDC priority group sometime in October. More information will be sent distributed concerning the vaccination in the near future. Please continue practicing good hand washing, and stay home if you are sick.
It is always a good idea to take the following precautions:
- Wash your hands often and well (before and after eating, after using the bathroom, sneezing, coughing, and blowing your nose).
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing then throw it away.
- If a tissue is unavailable, cough or sneeze into the bend of your elbow.
- Stay home from work or class and away from others if you are sick.
- Get the seasonal flu vaccination, along with the H1N1 vaccination, when it becomes available.
- If you need medical attention, please call or stop by the Johnson Health and Wellness Center (ext. 6121).
