Trick-or-Treat for the Hungry
Rather than collect candy, we collect canned goods for the less fortunate. This service project is a tremendous help for our local food pantry.
Candlelight Vigil for Covenant House
A candlelight vigil is designed by members of the SJC community to support Covenant House, the largest privately funded childcare agency in the U.S., and provides shelter and service to homeless and runaway youth.
Soup Kitchens
There are opportunities throughout the semester to serve others at soup kitchens in Indiana and Illinois. Information will be posted on campus.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit Christian housing ministry. A variety of students and employees participate in this program throughout the year.
Summer Service Opportunities
Respect for Life
Respect for Life assists the local Birthright Chapter and examines respect for life issues like abortion, cloning, capital punishment, euthanasia, etc.
- A group of students participates in the March for Life rally in Washington, DC every year. One day is spent enjoying the city itself.
Food Pantries
Students volunteer in collection and distribution of food at local food pantries.
