In addition to the Assistant Dean and Area Directors, Resident Assistants (R.A.s) are full-time students who are paraprofessional employees of Housing and Residence Life. These students have exhibited leadership abilities and act as leaders, role models and resource agents in the residential communities.

R.A.s are a great resource for just about any question you may have about the SJC experience, and if they don’t know the answer, they will point you in the right direction. In addition to enforcing College rules and regulations, R.A.s also organize programs and activities for residents, hold floor meetings, and provide important information about current and future events. They are also available “just to talk” with students about any problems or concerns they may have. At least one RA is “on duty” and available in each building every night.
