Seifert Hall is in the process of starting new traditions since it reopened in the fall of 2003, one being the creation of a nickname for each student, given by residents after a couple of weeks living together. Often, students can be seen out on the back patio grilling food and hanging out.

This residence hall is named for the Very Reverend Augustine Seifert, C.PP.S., the first President of SJC, and was erected in 1939. Renovated from an-all male hall to a co-ed hall in 2003, it now houses 110 men and women in two separate wings – 56 men on the east wing and 54 women on the west wing, in double-occupancy rooms. Private rooms are available as space allows. A smoke-free facility, all rooms are air-conditioned.
