Habitat For Humanity
Habitat For Humanity asks members to put their faith into action by volunteering their time and talents to help eliminate poverty housing in the U.S. and around the world. SJC's Habitat chapter travels frequently to assist with building projects and provide disaster relief in places like Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Texas, and members made their first international venture in 2004 to a site in Tanzania, Africa. The group also plans awareness programs on campus, takes day trips to building sites in the Midwest, and works closely with the Jasper County affiliate.
No prior construction experience is needed in order to join.
