If the Robinson Memorial Library does not own an item, it may be possible to obtain it on interlibrary loan.

Forms -- Request forms are available at the Circulation and Reference desks. These forms must be filled out with as much information on the article or book as possible. The reference librarian is available to assist with any problems in filling out the form. Postcards are provided for notification.

Request Items online -- You can now make your interlibrary loan requests online. If you are interested you can see a tutorial on how to do it before placing your hold

Restrictions
-- While the library staff does not restrict the number of requests from an individual, if the requests are deemed excessive for any given time period, an individual may be contacted by a library staff member to make other arrangements for obtaining other materials.

Charges -- Students are charged for interlibrary loan requests under the following conditions:

Interlibrary Loan Charges -- The library staff makes every effort to borrow materials from libraries that do not assess interlibrary loan charges. When such charges are required, the library will pay the first five dollars ($5.00). Charges above $5.00 will be charged to the requesting student or faculty member. Such requests will not be made without prior approval of the requesting individual.

Who may use these services -- The library staff will only handle interlibrary loan requests from individuals associated with Saint Joseph's College. Local residents are to make such requests through the public library, and high school students are to make such requests through their school media center.
