This year, Professor Peter Watkins' capstone course in Political Science is focusing on the presidency of Abraham Lincoln.
As in the past, when he has taken students to Kennedy sites in Boston and the Nixon Library in California, his intention was to take his students out of the classroom to experience another facet of the president they are studying.
On November 13, they visited the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln's home, the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices, and the Lincoln grave site. All of these sites are located in Springfield, IL.
