files that you need on your SJC Network drive

When we set up your account, we created a couple of folders for you in your SJC Network drive. These folders should not be deleted. And, in some cases, you should not even edit the contents of these folders.

Folders we setup for you...

• Netscape - This folder is vital to your existence on the SJC Network. It contains all of your browsing, email and news identity information. It also contains your Local Mail email folders, which includes your Templates and Drafts folders. If you would like to learn how to clean up your Local Mail folders, visit our webpage Cleaning Local Mail Folders.

  note: You should not edit any of the files in this folder unless you do so via Netscape's Navigator, Communicator or preferences interfaces.

• PUBLIC - If you wish to have your own web page, here at SJC, or if you wish to have a working directory that you can view via our www.saintjoe.edu server, then you should not delete this folder. Inside this folder, there is another folder named HTML. Files in this directory will be available to our www.saintjoe.edu server. If you wish to use this directory contact us and we will assist you.

  note: Do not store private files in this directory.
