Fr. Paul White, C.PP.S. '54, a native of Glandorf, Ohio, recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of his ordination. Fr. White was ordained on June 4, 1953 at St. Charles Seminary in Carthagena, Ohio.
Fr. White has spent his life as a priest in education ministry. After his ordination, he was assigned to Saint Joseph's College. There, he became a professor of Economics and for many years was the executive vice president of the College. He also served in the leadership of the Congregation.
Fr. White continues to live at SJC. For many years, he also served as parish administrator to St. Francis Church in Francesville, Ind., and St. Henry Church in Medaryville, Ind.
"These priests set out to serve God many years ago. They have touched so many lives with their ministry, more than they will ever know," said Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn, C.PP.S. '79, Provincial Director of the Cincinnati Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. "Their service and commitment to God and to our Community is an inspiration to us all."
The Missionaries of the Precious Blood is a religious society of priests, brothers, and lay associates founded in 1815 by St. Gaspar del Bufalo. Society members work as missionaries in parishes in the United States and abroad, in education and in a wide range of apostolates, promoting the cause of God's reconciliation worldwide by proclaiming the Word.'
