Digital Production minors take classes such as Basic and Advanced Audio Production, Basic and Advanced Video Production, Intro to Mass Communication, Video Field Production, Scriptwriting, and more.
SJC’s Department of Communication offers students multiple opportunities for Digital Production students to gain hands-on experience. For example, students can get involved with WPUM-TV, our campus television station as producers, directors, and crew members. Students can also work as newscasters, sports announcers, and DJs for 93.3 The Joe, our campus radio station. Digital Production students are also encouraged to join the Columbian Players, SJC’s acting troupe and oldest club on campus. The Columbian Players produce two full-length plays and a musical every year, and students can get involved both on stage and behind the scenes. Performance Scholarships of $2,000 are available for those who participate in our TV, radio, and theatre programs.
