Cheryl Wistrom is a biochemist and a licensed pharmacist who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Northern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Purdue University. Her graduate degrees from the University of Michigan include both a master of science and a doctor of philosophy degree in biological chemistry. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on changes in gene expression during senescence in cultured human fibroblast cells and resulted in four publications in peer- reviews science journals. She has been teaching undergraduate courses in biology and chemistry for 24 years and has co-authored two high school chemistry textbooks.
