Campus Ministry at SJC

Using the United States Bishop's letter on campus ministry, Empowered by the Spirit, as our model, we are able to offer a comprehensive program to the College community. Our operating philosophy in Campus Ministry is based on the needs of the students, and our programming is geared in such a way that students have the opportunity to further their relationships with God and others. To this end, the programming - from Sunday liturgies to retreats - are student organized and led. This gives all students a chance to develop leadership skills which will prove to be beneficial later in life.

The work of Campus Ministry is great. Meeting the diverse spiritual needs of the students is accomplished only through cooperation and team work. Our three professional staff members each oversee one of the three broad areas of Campus ministry: Liturgies and Faith Formation, Social Justice and Volunteer Opportunities, and Retreats and Spirituality.

Students are encouraged to take leadership roles within Campus Ministry and develop new programs to benefit the College community.
