The Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) has announced that Saint Joseph’s College’s Business Administration Department was granted reaffirmation of accreditation of its Business Administration and Management programs.
According to the IACBE, SJC’s Business Administration Department has undertaken a rigorous self-evaluation; undergone a comprehensive, independent peer review; and demonstrated compliance with the following accreditation principles of the IACBE: outcomes assessment, strategic planning, curriculum, faculty, scholarly and professional activities, resources, internal and external relationships, international business education, and educational innovation.
The IACBE also commended the Business Administration Department for demonstrating “a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic equality in its business programs and operations.”
“Having renewed our IACBE accreditation not only says a great deal about our program, but also the professors we have teaching in our department,” said SJC Associate Professor of Management and Marketing Teresa Massoels ’89. “Our professors prove that what they are demanding from students is what businesses demand from their employees.”
The IACBE was founded in 1997 and is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The IACBE is the leader in mission-driven and outcomes-based programmatic accreditation in business and management education for student-centered colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions throughout the world.
