Varsity Sports
The tradition of athletic success at Saint Joseph's College spans more than a century. In 1895, the College saw its first baseball, football, tennis and track teams organized. Today, SJC maintains eight sports for both men and women. Saint Joseph's is an NCAA Division II institution affiliated with the Great Lakes Valley Conference in all sports except football, in which the Pumas are independent.

SJC has been ranked nationally in many sports, including baseball, women's soccer and basketball, and men's and women's track and field. Numerous Pumas have received All-American and Academic All-American honors. Several student-athletes have also gone on to compete profesionally. Saint Joseph's College has established a tradition of excellence on the field of competition and in the classroom, which figures to continue well into the next millenium.
