What are your plans for after graduation?

Why did you choose SJC?
I chose SJC because of the size of the College. I felt that it was small but that it also was a family environment. I loved the class sizes and how all of the professors were willing to go out of their way to make sure you were comfortable.
As a student, what was your experience like at SJC?
My experience was absolutely amazing! I made friends with other students and the faculty. I wouldn't change the last four years for anything.
What experiences did you appreciate most in the Education Division?
I appreciated that all of the professors were helpful. I especially appreciated the observation hours in the classroom. This helped me realize that teaching is exactly what I wanted to do.
How were the faculty members in the Education Division helpful to you?
The most helpful faculty member in the Education Division was Associate Professor of Education Dr. Tom Ryan ’70. He was one of the reasons I chose SJC because you can tell he loves what he does. He also helped prepare me for the real world.
How did the Core Program prepare you for employment?
The Core Program prepared me for employment by showing me that there are so many different jobs you can do, but you should do what you love and always remember your faith.
What advice would you give to a prospective student looking to major in Educational Studies at SJC?
I would say make sure you love it. If you do not love your job, you will not be truly happy. I don’t think your job should just be a job. It should be a passion.
