International
Studies and Study Abroad
General Information
Students
interested in either pursuing a degree in International Studies or
physically going abroad to study find a tremendous range of
oppotunities at Saint Joseph's College.
SJC has agreements with study abroad programs so students can go
virtually anywhere in the world. The first is with the University
of Evansville, which has
a campus, actually a castle, in Harlaxton, England.
This program is available every spring. The second is with
Arcadia University, which offers
year-round programs in Australia,
England, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain
and Wales. Arcadia also has internship opportunities with the Australian parliament, the Irish
parliament, the Scottish parliament and with firms in London and Sydney.
Finally, Central College offers students year-round programs in the Netherlands, Mexico, Spain, England,
Vienna, Paris China and Wales. All Central College programs
have internship and service learning options. The Central
College and Arcadia Programs are constantly evolving to include more
sites for abroad study.
For students who want to go off the
beaten path, SJC works with them to find other programs to suit their
interests. The registrar will accept transfers from any
accredited university abroad program within the catalog limits for
number of transfer hours.
