The Communication and Theatre Arts Department at Saint Joseph's College
sponsors an alumni career panel each year which brings successful
graduates in radio, theatre, television, education and other fields back
to campus. Past alumni speakers have included tv news reporters,
Fortune 500 corporate executives, radio personalities, video editors,
directors, media sales managers, entrepreneurs, and educators.
On September 27, 2004 the Department
hosted another panel in the Shen Auditorium. Panelists
included: Jenifer Vargo (class of '93) Development Director, The
Erikson Institute, Chicago; Mark Ciesielski ('94) high school television
production instructor, Merrillville; David Tipold ('91) Director of
International Communication, Urschel Labs, Valparaiso; Kara Meyer ('93)
senior manager, promotional sales, Radio Disney, Chicago.
