Department of Communication Awards

Each year, members of the Department faculty nominate qualified seniors to receive two departmental awards. Both memorial awards are named after faculty members in the Communication Department, whose untiring work in the classroom and with co-curricular activities has made them role models for students to come.

Dr. Ralph Cappuccilli Communication and Theatre Arts Award is awarded to a senior student who has achieved at least a cumulative 3.5 gpa. Dr. Cappuccilli's involvement at Saint Joseph's College was over 45 years as a student, professor, director of theatre and department chair.

Dr. James Mignerey, C.PP.S. Award is given to a qualified senior who has demonstrated outstanding contribution to the department co-curricular activities of radio, television and theatre. Br. Mignerey was a student and professor at SJC, and was director of theatre.
