Faculty - Rev. William Stang, M.D., M.Div, M.A. 

 

Father Stang has taught at Saint Joseph’s College since 1977.  He is a Medical Doctor and Microbiologist.  He is the Medical Technology advisor and one of the Pre-Medical program advisors at the College.  Besides teaching full-time, Father Stang is a priest in residence in Gallagher Hall at Saint Joseph’s College.  He is also a Chaplain with over 22 years of service in the United States Army and Indiana Army National Guard.  In the Guard he has served with the 113th Engineers, 38th Aviation Brigade, 76th Separate Infantry Brigade, Headquarters of the 38th Infantry Division and Indiana Joint Forces Headquarters.  He was mobilized for the 101st Airborne in Kosovo in 2001, with the 38th Infantry Division to Bosnia in 2004-5 and to Iraq in the summer of 2008.  He was promoted to Colonel in 2007 and is now Senior Chaplain at Indiana Joint Forces Headquarters supervising the Chaplains, Chaplain Candidates and Chaplain Assistants of the Indiana Army and Air National Guard.
