5/22/07 The moveable shelving for the library stacks arrived is workers have begun installation in Government Documents.  Some stacks were also moved to accommodate the new stairway and lift.	5/29/07 Some of the new shelving units are now working and book moving continues.	6/05/07 Some walls have been demolished and shelving disappeared.  Air conditioning ducts are being put into place.
6/12/07 Work continues in the lower level.  The tracks for moveable shelving can be seen.  Shelves of books have been covered to protect the from the dust and other moved out.	6/19/07 Electrical work goes on as new lights are installed.  The walls also have a fresh coat or paint.	7/2/07 Carpet was laid and more shelving units have been installed.  Prep work has been going on for the floor cut for new lift and stairway.
7/9/07 The shelving units continue to go in and some of the books have been place on shelves, while more go out for storage.  A hole in the ceiling is the start of the new lift and staircase.	7/17/07 The hole got bigger this week!  Books, bound periodicals have been moved and shelving been removed in preparation for paint and new shelves.	7/25/07 The rest of the old shelves were removed from the lower level.  Painters have been busy and duct work and electrical work is in progress.
7/31/07  The masonry work for the lift and new stairway is almost complete.  Electricians are wiring for new lights.	8/08/07 Carpet was laid and shelving built for periodical storage.  New lights also make quite a difference. Some of the bound periodicals are being moved back.	8/15/07 The first floor stack have al been removed and a new window is in place. More shelving has been installed and the west side.  The new stairway is in place.
8/23/07 Work on the lift and stairs continue.  More books are back on the shelves.	8/30/07 Projects continue in the library lower level.	9/07/07 Work continues...the new lounge area can be seen and the lift is nearing completion.  Books have been moved from the first floor area next to the reference room.
9/21/07 The reading lounge in the lower level nears completion.  Books continue to be shelved and the shelves in the area north of the reference room have been removed to be work in this study area.	9/27/07 Some of the books from the northeast stacks room have been removed in preparation for work here.	10/5/07 Almost all the books have been cleared out of the northeast corner of the library.
10/12/07 The shelving in the back room has been removed and some duct work can be seen.	11/2/07 Framing for the new classroom in the north-east corner of the library.  Some electrical and HVAC work in the study area.	11/09/07  The drywall has gone up in the classroom area and a coat of paint in the study area.
11/16/07 Work continues in the new classrooms	11/29/07 Work continues in the new study area behind the reference area and in the new classroom in the back of the library.	12/7/07 The ceiling and lighting in new study is now complete.  The new classrooms have been painted.
12/14/07 Carpet was laid on the study area and the track lights (for art displays) were installed.  The classroom/study area ceiling was also installed.	12/20/07 Furniture was moved into the new study area.  In the classroom/study areas, lights  and projectors were installed and the carpet is being installed as well.	1/04/08 The library project is nearing completion.  All the carpet had been installed, some paintings appeared in the study area and some furniture was placed in the conference rooms.
1/11/08 Study carrels arrived and the conference room furniture is in.  Students are making use of the gallery space.

5/22/07 The scaffolding is being built so workers can begin painting.  Backstage is prepped for new fly system and electrical work.	5/29/07  Scaffolding is almost completed ready to be used for painting.	6/05/07 A view from the top.  The ceiling is being prepped for painting.
6/12/07 Some plaster work and priming being done on the theater ceiling.	6/19/07 The painters have started on the walls.  The ceiling has been prepped for paint as well.	7/0/07 The ceiling is taking shape and the old theater seats have been removed.  A sample of some of the detail work in progress.
7/9/07 The ceiling looks pretty well finished, except for some finishing touches. Painters are now working on some of the detail work.	7/17/07 More finish work and stenciling on the ceiling and decorative columns.	7/25/07 More finish work is going on now.  The ceiling is almost completed.
7/31/07 The scaffolding is beginning to go down as the ceiling is done. The painters are finishing up the walls and other touch up work.	8/08/07 The scaffolding is coming down.  Here's some shots of the new look.	8/15/07 Workers prepping the floor for new carpeting.  Electricians have been busy behind stage working in preparation for the new fly system and other electrical wiring. The final shot shows some of the new motorized fly system.
8/23/07 The rigging in the fly area is beginning to take shape.  The floor (where the seats will be placed) was painted.	8/30/07 Waiting for carpet and seats in the theater.  Installation of  fly system backstage continues.	9/07/07 Most of the rigging in the fly area was completed this past week.
9/14/07 Little lights in the aisles of the theater and another look at the rigging in the fly area of the stage.	9/27/07 The new seats have arrived and workers have begin installation.	10/5/07 All the seats were installed in the theater and some new sconces are visible on the walls.
12/14/07 The proscenium curtain arrived this week.	12/20/07 The rest of the curtains and rigging were installed.  Welcome to the back-stage view.
