Continuance
Students admitted into teacher education are reviewed regularly to
ensure satisfactory progress is being made toward graduation and
licensure. To continue in the teacher education program, students
must meet all standards established by the education department in
conjunction with the Indiana Professional Standards Board and the
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education including:
- cumulative
G.P.A. of 2.75 by the beginning of fall semester, junior year;
- satisfactory
evaluations in all education field experience, practica, and
internships;
- Praxis
I passing scores prior to fall semester, junior year; and
- Praxis
II passing scores prior to student teaching.
